Horrible Deaths of History: “A Woman’s Horrible Fate”

Believe me when I say that this is not an uncommon occurrence.  Dogs and cats, when unfed (because their owners have died), will feast upon the corpses of their owners.  Although I’ve never seen it personally, I have a couple funeral director friends who have.  Certainly, the animals mean no ill intention … it’s just that whole pragmatic need for survival thing that kicks in.
